MOLECULAR
BIOLOGIST/BIOCHEMIST - Postdoc:
HBRI currently has an opening for a Molecular Biologist/Biochemist
Postdoc. Receive training that enhances the individual’s
professional development and future formation of his/her
own career. Help design and conduct a research project
within the area of active research of the Principal
Investigator. Research experience in molecular biology,
protein purification and enzymatic kinetic studies required.
Cell biology, stem cell biology, enzyme purification,
PCR, hybridoma and analytical work with antibodies,
animal work experience, expression library construction
and functional screening experience are a plus. Ph.D.,
M.D. or equivalent in related field from an accredited
institution with 0-2 years of professional Post-doctoral

research work as directed by Staff Scientist or Principal
Investigator with little or no supervision; provide
new research or managerial expertise to research program;
and provide scientific leadership within field of expertise;.

Chemist - RESEARCH TECHNICIAN I/II: Periodic openings
for an experienced bioanalytical chemist. Masters or
Bachelor of Science Degree in related field such as
biochemistry, biology, chemistry, pharmacology, cell
biology, analytical chemistry, microbiology; Plus 2-5
years relevant research experience at Research Technician
I level including work with HPLC and NMR is also acceptable.
Research experience in the analysis of small molecules
by HPLC, LCMS, fluorescence and other spectroscopic
techniques required. Experience with Mass Spec and NMR
a plus. Experience with enzyme assays, fluorescence
assays, and/or cell based assay a plus. The successful
candidate will possess excellent written and verbal
communication skills.
Synthetic
Medicinal Chemist:
Periodic openings for a highly motivated synthetic or
medicinal bioorganic chemist. Research experience in
the synthesis and characterization of pharmacologically

considered. Combinatorial chemistry experience is a
plus. The position entails the synthesis and evaluation
of novel central nervous system agents. The successful

Molecular Biologist: Periodic openings for a
molecular biologist and/or biochemist. Research experience
in the cloning, sequencing and cDNA-expression of pharmacologically
important enzymes and receptors, molecular biology,
protein purification and enzymatic kinetic studies required.

Internships:

in early 2012. Space is limited and positions are filled
