MOLECULAR BIOLOGIST/BIOCHEMIST - Postdoc:
HBRI currently has an opening for a Molecular Biologist/Biochemist Postdoc. Receive training that enhances the individual’s professional development and future formation of his/her own career. Help design and conduct a research project within the area of active research of the Principal Investigator. Research experience in molecular biology, protein purification and enzymatic kinetic studies required. Cell biology, stem cell biology, enzyme purification, PCR, hybridoma and analytical work with antibodies, animal work experience, expression library construction and functional screening experience are a plus. Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent in related field from an accredited institution with 0-2 years of professional Post-doctoral training. Outstanding candidates with an M.S. degree will be considered.

Bioanalytical Chemist - RESEARCH TECHNICIAN I/II: Periodic openings for an experienced bioanalytical chemist. Masters or Bachelor of Science Degree in related field such as biochemistry, biology, chemistry, pharmacology, cell biology, analytical chemistry, microbiology; Plus 2-5 years relevant research experience at Research Technician I level including work with HPLC and NMR is also acceptable. Research experience in the analysis of small molecules by HPLC, LCMS, fluorescence and other spectroscopic techniques required. Experience with Mass Spec and NMR a plus. Experience with enzyme assays, fluorescence assays, and/or cell based assay a plus. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Synthetic Medicinal Chemist: Periodic openings for a highly motivated synthetic or medicinal bioorganic chemist. Research experience in the synthesis and characterization of pharmacologically active compounds required. A Ph.D. or M.S. degree preferred but outstanding candidates with B.A. degrees will be considered. Combinatorial chemistry experience is a plus. The position entails the synthesis and evaluation of novel central nervous system agents. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Molecular Biologist: Periodic openings for a molecular biologist and/or biochemist. Research experience in the cloning, sequencing and cDNA-expression of pharmacologically important enzymes and receptors, molecular biology, protein purification and enzymatic kinetic studies required. Cell biology, hybridoma, analytical work with antibodies, expression library construction and functional screening experience are a plus. Ph.D. or M.S. degree preferred but outstanding candidates with B.A. degrees will be considered. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Molecular Biologist - Research Technician:
Periodic openings for a Molecular Biologist-Research Technician II/III. Research experience in molecular biology, protein purification and enzymatic kinetic studies required. Cell biology, cell based assay, hybridoma culture and antibody evaluation experience are a plus. A Masters or Bachelor of Science Degree in related field such as biochemistry, biology, chemistry, genetics, microbiology; Plus more than 5 years relevant research experience at Research Technician II/III level is required. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Bio-Analytical Chemist: Periodic openings for a bioanalytical or bioorganic chemist. Research experience in the analysis of small molecules by HPLC, GC or LCMS and other spectroscopic techniques required. A Ph.D. or M.S. degree preferred but outstanding candidates with B.A. degrees will be considered. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Administrative Officer/Executive Assistant: Periodic openings for a highly motivated individual in an administrative position for a nonprofit organization. The position entails working as part of the administration team with the Director, COO and Staff Scientists. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about how to operate and grow a business. Job duties include: Fiscal Oversight, Purchasing/Receiving, Grants & Contracts Management, Human Resources, Document Preparation, Intellectual Property Maintenance/Business Development, Event Planning/Fundraising.
