Job Descriptions:

Administrative Officer/Executive Assistant: Opening for a highly motivated individual in an administrative position for a nonprofit organization. The position entails working as part of the administration team with the Director, COO and Staff Scientists. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about how to operate and grow a business. Job duties include: Fiscal Oversight, Purchasing/Receiving, Grants & Contracts Management, Human Resources, Document Preparation, Intellectual Property Maintenance/Business Development, Event Planning/Fundraising. The successful applicant will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, organization skills & computer skills.

Synthetic Medicinal Chemist: Periodic openings for a highly motivated synthetic or medicinal bioorganic chemist. Research experience in the synthesis and characterization of pharmacologically active compounds required. A Ph.D. or M.S. degree preferred but outstanding candidates with B.A. degrees will be considered. Combinatorial chemistry experience is a plus. The position entails the synthesis and evaluation of novel central nervous system agents. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Molecular Biologist: Periodic openings for a molecular biologist and/or biochemist. Research experience in the cloning, sequencing and cDNA-expression of pharmacologically important enzymes and receptors. Cell biology and genomics experience is desirable. A Ph.D. or M.S. degree preferred but outstanding candidates with B.A. degrees will be considered. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Bio-Analytical Chemist: Periodic openings for a bioanalytical or bioorganic chemist. Research experience in the analysis of small molecules by HPLC, GC or LCMS and other spectroscopic techniques required. A Ph.D. or M.S. degree preferred but outstanding candidates with B.A. degrees will be considered. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Summer Internships: We will begin accepting applications for our 2008 Summer Internship Program March 1, 2008. Space is limited and positions are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. This position is open to both high school and college students. Details
